Whereas Gov. JAMES MOORE, JOSEPH MORTON & EDMUND BELLINGER, Lords Proprs., on 28 Aug. 1701 for L 19:4 granted JOHN NORTON, the father, 960 a. in Granville Co., & by will dated 30 Sept. 1705, NORTON devised to his wife SARAH 1/3 of all his real & personal estate, the other 2/3 to be divided equally amongst his children; & whereas SARAH, widow of JOHN, died before reaching 21, & JOHN became heir to 480 a.; now he conveys to his brother GEORGE 280 a. on Washua Island & 200 a. on St. Helena's Island.
